Getting to know us...
Santa Cop
Uganda
In February 2006, our local ministry, God's Manna visited Uganda Africa.  While there we were not
only taken by the beauty of the country and the people, but saw first-hand the banana trees growing
wild and people who wile extremely poor were loving, warm and making the best out of an
overwhelmingly bad situation.

The children of Uganda had no toys and in many cases only one set of clothing to wear, most not
well fitting.  Most had no parents and the older sibling were caring for the younger ones.

God's Manna began to assist the orphanage we visited and have since leased a home and opened
another.  We are taking children whom are orphaned because of war and HIV and giving them hope.
The funds we have raised have been nominal, but as with all things through Jesus Christ, the need
has been met.

CII is working to help take care of a small number of orphans in the overwhelming population that
actually exists.  CII is in contact with
Feed My Starving Children that packages dried food.  Their 13
oz package will feed SIX people.  It consists of dried vegetables, soy protein, rice and vitamins.
Recommended daily nutrients that only one serving a day will start to defeat starvation in a child.
We have the opportunity to send this into Kampala, which will provide each of the orphanages with
meals for six months!

We have also sent school supplies, money for desks, mattresses and will soon be sending clothing.

Child Initiative International needs to show these children that there is more to life than hunger, fear
and disease.
