Letter from our Chairman
Welcome to the home page of Child Initiative International, (CII) an organization
founded to make a positive impact in the lives of children in the United States
and abroad. We believe that children are one of our most precious gifts.
Around the world children are subjected to intolerable conditions such as
disease, abuse, rape, slavery, starvation, sexual abuse, a lack of self worth and
the feeling of being forgotten and unloved. Adults make the choices that affect
their lives and children are left to deal with what the world has handed to them
before they are even given a fair chance at life.  These children seem to have
become a disposable commodity; thrown away, much like an empty bottle or can.
CII hopes to help change that.
Our efforts in Uganda Africa began in March 2006. Ray and I were in Uganda as
missionaries and had the chance to see exactly how beautiful Africa is.
Unfortunately, we were also able to see the conditions of nearly one million
orphans, many of whom are HIV positive.  There is little hope for them if we sit
by and do nothing.  We began support of one orphanage and opened another and
now have hundreds of children to whom we seek to supply food, educational
materials, clothing and shelter.  They just need a fighting chance.  That is why we
are here.
We began Child Initiative International with a small group of believers who walk
in agreement that these children must not perish because of the history of man’s
inability to appropriately care for the gifts we have been given.  These children
did not ask for their poor situation.  The world handed it to them and said, “Live
with it.”
I hope you will look around our web page and like what you see.   We would love to
have your support to achieve our goal of caring for 10,000 or more children. While
we are a faith-based organization, we will not withhold care from a child
regardless of the background that child may have been born into.  We will care
for as many children as funding by donation permits without any prejudice.

We do not seek to replace, reproduce or compete with any other charities and
organizations.  We seek to fill a void.  We are a 501c3 charity, making your gift
tax deductible. To have a CII representative come speak to your organization or
church, please click on the contact us link.

I hope you will join with us to make a positive impact in the lives of children all
over the world.

Thank you and God Bless,
Phillip Klikas Jr. Ph.D

In this picture you see
two of three children we
lost to disease in March
2007.
As you can see Gilbert
and Teopista were
beautiful and seemingly
had a bright future until
they contracted
MEASLES. We don't have
a picture of the third
child, "Sammy." But I
promise these three will
never be forgotten and
we are working to insure
we don't loose anymore
of these treasures.
